# Roadmap: Flight Plan

*Start small, then scale.*

We start with mechanisms we control. Day one we switch on the things we own: identity (Drifters), money (Benny), and [simple sinks](#user-content-fn-1)[^1]. Then we layer in utility in Aevitas. Then plug into the sun, one roof at a time. The system gets more real, more scarce, and more valuable as we go.

***

### Day 1-30

* Citizenship established: Drifters = identity.
* Genesis Universal Benny Income (UBI): Initial Benny distribution with halving schedule
* Transparency: Public wallets and [parameters open](#user-content-fn-2)[^2].

***

### Month 1-3

* Spacemart (2D) launches: Benny becomes spendable to customize and upgrade Drifters.
* Utility + burn loop begins: Every upgrade sinks Benny, creating initial demand.
* Community experimentation: First layer of culture and personalization emerges.

***

### Month 3-6

* Aevitas Beta opens: Mining shifts from passive UBI to active Work Units in-world.
* Spacemart (3D) expands: Future Gadget and digital goods unlock; economy grows beyond avatars.

***

### Month 6-12

* Proof-of-Sunlight pilots: 25-50 rooftops onboarded; solar data integrated.
* Staking Vault launches: Hodlers can lock Benny against real yield.
* First energy payouts: Solar revenues start flowing back into the system.
* Tighter emissions: Difficulty adjustments align digital minting with real-world output.

***

### Year 1+

* Scaling phase: community arrays and partner networks expand.
* Majority issuance solar-backed: Most new Benny comes directly from solar production.
* Digital energy era: Benny behaves like scarce, yield-bearing energy; the backbone of a citizen-owned economy.

***

### **Far Horizon**

* **Blue Zones:** Driftopia extends into the physical world as sustainable living communities powered by Benny and solar.
* **Pods IRL:** Modular living and community hubs evolve from digital prototypes to real environments.
* **Civilization realized:** Driftopia functions as both a digital and physical breakaway civilization, uniting identity, economy, and independence.

[^1]: In tokenomics, a **“sink”** is any mechanic that **removes tokens from circulation** (either permanently *burned* or temporarily *locked*). It’s the opposite of a faucet (which *emits* or *rewards* tokens).

[^2]: Key system settings (emission schedule, halving intervals, fee rates, staking rules) are published and immutable or governed transparently.

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://driftopia.gitbook.io/whitepaper/roadmap-flight-plan.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
