# Drifters: Citizenship & Identity

The NFT collection is a cultural beacon that represents the values of Driftopia: freedom, independence, exploration, and human-centered futurism. Each Drifter symbolizes a citizen who chose to leave behind the old world and build a new one where the future feels simple, purposeful, and like home. As Driftopia expands into Pods, Future Gadgets, and renewable energy, Drifters remain the anchor of citizenship and the reminder that civilization begins with people and their identities, not infrastructure.

### **The 2D Beginning**

Citizenship begins with art. Each Drifter NFT functions as a profile picture, representing identity within the community. This first layer is not only symbolic but functional. It introduces Benny’s earliest utility through a trait marketplace, the first version of Spacemart in two dimensions. Citizens can trade traits, customize their Drifters, and begin to engage in economic life.

This stage serves as a proof of concept: Benny is used, exchanged, and circulated around art itself. At the same time, the collection sets a new artistic standard, pushing quality and imagination beyond existing projects.
